Variable General Info
Tidal barriers length ?Comment:The Salmon and Steelhead Habitat Inventory and Assessment Program (SSHIAP) used LIDAR, ortho and aerial oblique photos, transportation layers and an existing levee dataset to identify and digitize dikes, levees, roads and other man-made structures that impede tidal hydrology such that historic wetlands become lost or isolated from Puget Sound nearshore waters. This inventory was limited to selected tidal wetland classes within large river deltas, barriers estuaries, barrier lagoons and open coastal inlets as identified by the Puget Sound Nearshore Ecosystem Restoration Project Nearshore Science Team. Used to compute the length in meters of tidal barriers. |
